Russell Brewing Co. – St Nick’s Oaked Spiced Porter Review

Part of the the collaboration series the St Nick’s Oaked Spiced Porter pours a deep brown with a finger of head. The aroma is strongly spiced with vanilla and nutmeg in a seasonal, warming ensemble. The flavour is stronger than the smell forecasts with the Oak flavour coming through adding texture beyond the smooth vanilla notes in the nose. Joining the oak-iness are notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice with a mild bitterness coming to in the finish. This is a seasonal and spicy brew that is worth a try but you may want to share the bottle as it is strong and very flavourful

Alcohol – 6.5%
IBU – 30

Price – $7.25 (cold beer and wine)
