Longwood Brewery – Imperial Stout Review

The Longwood Imperial Stout is a deep and dark brown colour that pours with a slightly overweight finger of head. The aroma is not overwhelming but has notes of chocolate and a touch of nutty creamyness. The flavour is strong and thick but not going too far and venturing into the tar range of things. This beer is a traditionally brewed imperial stout with notes of chocolate and espresso that come through clear. This is a thick and dark beer but on a cold night it will hit you with a wave of warmth to get you through the night. The Longwood Imperial Stout is strong, flavourful and a beer brewed the way tradition says.
