Dead Frog Brewing Co. – Winter Beeracle Winter Ale Review

Dead Frog Brewing Co. has recently released the Winter Beeracle. Not only a witty play on words but also another great option in the fleet of winter seasonal beers that BC breweries have to offer. This beer pours into the glass a deep brown tingeing with amber and a single finger of head. The smell is smooth and strong with winter spice. Vanilla notes reign supreme with a citrus backing that lingers. The flavour strongly mirrors the scent with vanilla taking charge and a toasted chocolate bit that gives a touch of bitterness. The citrus flavour is still present but masked by the up-front and in-charge vanilla. The Winter Beeracle is smooth and spicy but not easy drinking like a lot of the other dead frog beers.
