Russell Brewing Co. – Naughty & Spiced Porter Review

The Naughty & Spiced Porter from Russell is a seasonal creation that pours a dark brown colour topped with a very thin head. The smell is of malt and mild spice. Given the name of this beer I would have actually predicted a much sweeter and louder nose. The key bits that come through in the smell are vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Tasting the Naughty and Nice, the flavour is more full than the aroma precluded. The vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon are joined with allspice and a light toasting to give a warm, smooth and flavourful adventure. A sucker for tradition may not respect this beer but those that like flavour and a twist from the ordinary this is a flavourful and delicious treat.
