Phillips Brewing Co. – Eric Jourdan Ing of the Carboy Northwest Amber Ale Review

This Amber ale smells of an IPA. Strong citrus, northwest hop takes over the aroma through a thick and full head. the colour is a crisp and clear, amber brown. Besides the colour, there is nothing amber about this beer. The flavour is strong of hop and has citrus notes of orange and grapefruit that add some depth to the flavour. The hop flavour is piney and bitter as a Northwest hopped ale should be. The only way you will be disappointed with this beer is if you were expecting an Amber Ale. Other than that this is a hoppy and delicious ale.
