Fernie Brewing Co Ol' Willy Wit Belgian White Ale Review Fernie Brewing Co. – Ol’ Willy Wit Belgian White Ale Review

The Fernie Brewing Co’s Ol’ Willy Wit is a Belgian White Ale that pours with two fingers of fairly dense head. The slightly opaque colour is a golden-straw hue that gives off an aroma of wheat, coriander and a citrus back. The taste starts off with a carbonated sharpness that leads into an orange peel and coriander mellow mid section. The finish is filled with wheatiness and the lingering remnants of the citrus spice. The citrus and coriander are a quite strong but still leaves the Willy Wit an easy drinking Witbier. The slightly American-styled wheat tones, citrus and coriander spice make for unique Witbier and something a little different which is a mark in the plus category. The Ol’ Willy Wit is unique but still makes for a beer that you can drink just about any day of any season in the year ahead.
