Spinnakers Brewpub – Blue Bridge Double Pale Ale Review

Victoria’s blue bridge is as iconic for the city as the Spinnakers Brewpub is for quality, Victoria beer. The Blue Bridge Double Pale Ale is a lighter than expected golden amber colour that has a thick and slow-dispersing head. The smell is hopped with a citrus back that gives it a solid base to be a great tasting beer. The taste slightly is different from expected. Aromatic hops make for a bitter blanket of flavour, but not in an overpowering way. There is a slight edge of strong-ale-ness that shows the 8.2% alcohol content. This beer is not overly complex but has a pleasant, vibrant and well hopped flavour. Another quality beer to come out of the amazing Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub.
