Overview

Vancouver Island Brewery – Storm Watcher Winter lager

It is time for a Storm Watch! The Vancouver Island Brewery seasonal Winter Lager is back. Pouring a dark amber with a thin head this beer smells of a malt base augmented with caramel and toffee notes that add a dark, sweetened twist. The taste is warming. While the malt is present and crisp, the flavour builds into a sweet and flavourful beer. The toffee notes add a touch of bitterness that contrasts the sweetness and melds with a vanilla note mellowing the overall feel. This beer is rather sweet and may not be ideal for polishing off a six-pack but to sit down and enjoy a bottle with friends on a cold winter’s afternoon sounds just about perfect.

Alcohol – 5.5%
Size – 341ml bottles
Price – $11.85 /6 Bottles (BCL)
This is a Seasonal Brew (Sept – Feb)
