Tree Brewing Co. – Jumpin Jack Pumpkin Ale (2012) Review

The Tree Brewing Pumpkin Ale smells lightly of pumpkin with spices to match. Nothing is too sharp, nothing truly stands out when compared to other pumpkin ales. The beer pours with a fairly thick head and settles at a fairly speedy pace. Tasting the beer, the Jumpin Jack is lightly carbonated and has a toasted, spiced pumpkin flavour. The aftertaste gives the strong ale flavour alongside the pumpkin notes that takes over a bit and leaves a slightly displeasing bit on the tip of the tongue. The flavour is good but to have a touch less “strong ale – ness” tied to it would likely improve the overall impression.
