Dead Frog Brewing Co. – Citra IPA Review

Dead Frog’s Citra IPA is a summer twist on a classic ale. This pours a light amber gold colour with a frothy head. The smell is floral and citrus with a solid hop aroma. Tasting the beer it is hoppy and crisp, with a touch of citrus. Given the name of this beer I would expect more orange and grapefruit flavour but the taste remains central around the bitter hop and finishes with a citrus flavoured bitterness. The final aftertaste is a touch strong-ale like leaving a sharpness to the palate.
