Vancouver Island Brewery – Iron Plow Harvest Märzen Review

The Iron Plow is a Märzen, or Oktoberfest style beer that enters the glass with a modest head. The colour is a fairly dark, nutty, amber colour and the aroma is malty with a backing of honey-nut sweetness. This beer has some weight to it as it fills the mouth with a toasted, malty flavour. There is a touch of hop but the focus is definitely on the lightly sweetened toasted malt. The Iron Plow has a great depth to the flavour and finishes light beckoning for the next sip. This autumnal beer is a seasonal favourite!
