Phillips Brewing Co. – Evergreen Ale Review

The evergreen ale pours a golden colour that appears the slightest bit opaque. It has a  mid-thin head and smells of a lightly sweet citrus hop and has a nose-confusing smell of Spruce tied to it. While the Spruce was hard to place in smell, it is the dominant taste as the beer goes down. It is crisp, smooth and refreshing with a good malted back and a touch of evergreen hop in the finish. This beer is by no means a typical ale and is really quite hard to compare it to anything else but the spruce is very tasty. I would drink this any day of the week if it were available!
