Steamworks Brewing Co. – Wheat Ale Review

The Steamworks Wheat Ale is a cloudy tangerine colour that pours with a mid-thick head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with strong citrus notes shining through brightest. The taste is crisp with a reasonably strong carbonation that comes through with a lemon, orange, coriander and a touch of grapefruit in the body. After the citrus has faded the mouth is left with a lightly sweetened finish and a touch of the lingering citrus flavours. This beer is not overly wheaty and goes down quite smooth. It is refreshing and can be easily drank by the new-to-wheat beer drinker.
