Russell Brewing – Nectar of the Gods Wheat Wine Ale (2012) Review

From Russell Brewing the Nectar of the Gods Wine Wheat Ale is strong, in your face and will take no prisoners. Your taste buds will be taken captive and you will wake up face down somewhere a day or two later. Aged in Whiskey Barrels the Nectar of the Gods has an extremely loud flavour with touches of fruit and Vanilla that barely peek their heads through the noise of the whole ensemble.

The first few sips can be a bit rough, As your taste buds retreat from the initial raid though and your thoughts start to blur a bit from a 10% rating the flavour begins to mellow. This is still not for the beer-conservative but the taste settles in for the ride. If you want to try this beer, you better hurry. This is an extremely limited edition and is almost sold out.

Alcohol – 10%

This one is so strong and has a unique taste. It wasn’t for me but it’s high alcohol content is a bonus.
