Central City Brewery – Imperial IPA for Autism (archived)

This beer was replaced by the Red Racer Imperial IPA

With a whopping 90IBU and a 9.5% ABV this is strong, in your face and is ready to take you down! But it gets better! For every bottle of the Central City Imperial IPA sold $5 will be donated to autism research in British Columbia. This year the fundraising goal is a whopping $75,000.

This beer pours with 2+ fingers of head as a copper coloured IPA. Through the head comes a strong, slightly boozy, northwest hop aroma. Tasting this beer the texture is smooth and almost oily with a thick imperial palate. The taste has notes of citrus but the main event is the whopping 90IBU. Hop bitterness takes the main stage but a sweetness also comes around to mellow the otherwise overpowering flavour. This is an amazing beer that gives to an amazing cause. Please go out and buy several bottles of this beer. You will not be let down!

Alcohol – 9.5%
