Overview

  • Pros:

Nice and easy drinking White IPA

  • Cons:

    Nothing over the top

  • Conclusion:

An easy drinking and enjoyable White IPA

The Vancouver Island Brewery Flying Tanker White IPA blends the clean taste of a white ale with the hoppy bitterness of an IPA. A golden-straw coloured beer with three full fingers of head this bitter-wheat smelling beer is smooth and unique in its aroma. In tasting, a smooth, wheat malt leads up to a hoppy mid-section which is loaded with hops. A light citrus taste comes in to play closing out the taste-portfolio clearing much of the bitterness from the palate. Gazing through the glass you will notice a large amount of carbonation and a golden cloud of beer. The cloudiness and colour are the result of a well hopped, wheat base. The taste has a little sweetness in it but the citrus notes manage to balance out the bitterness very well making for a balanced, very drinkable beer.
